Introduction
In Dragon’s Dogma 2’s Post Game, players must complete The Importance of Aiding Ernesto—one of five evacuation quests—to finish the Main Quest Halls of the First Dawn.
How to start Aiding Ernesto
To start this quest, approach Ernesto, the beastren guard near the northern gate in the Volcanic Island Camp. He agrees to the evacuation plan but requires you to convince Gautstafr and his wife Cliodhna. Ernesto marks their hut’s location on your map. Use a Ferrystone to teleport to the port crystal in Agamen Volcanic Island, then head to the camp to speak with Ernesto. This quest unlocks after completing “Halls of the First Dawn”, one of two initial post-game quests in the Unmoored World.


How to Complete The Importance of Aiding Ernesto
Persuade Gautstafr and Cliodhna to Evacuate
Speak with Gautstafr and Cliodhna to persuade them to evacuate, then defeat the dragon near the red beacon to secure their agreement. Defeating the dragon rewards you with 90 Wyrmslife Crystals and convinces the couple to leave. Escort them back to the camp to complete this part of the quest.



Convince Lamond
Speak with Ernesto, who asks you to convince Lamond, located in the same spot in the original world. Talk to Lamond and persuade him to evacuate. If you’ve completed The Sotted Sage and given him Newt Liquer, he will be easier to convince.

Head Back to Ernesto
Return to Ernesto, and he will agree to evacuate the area, completing the quest. You’ll earn 15,000 gold, 20,000 XP, and 40 Wyrmslife Crystals.
