Introduction
In the side quest “The Ailing Arborheart” from Dragon’s Dogma 2, players assist the elves of Sacred Arbor in saving their home. This quest, which can be easily overlooked, opens up a follow-up quest, making it important to pick up if you’re heading to Battahl. Our guide provides all the details needed to start and finish the quest.
How to Start The Ailing Arborheart
You can start this quest after completing the side quests “Gift of the Bow” and “A Trial of Archery.” In Sacred Arbor, go to the Arborheart tree where Doireann is tending to it. She’ll explain that something is wrong and, consequently, she’ll need a material called Gwyfencha. However, she doesn’t know its translation.
Speak to Glyndwr in the Mountain Ruin Quest ” The Ailing Arborheart”
Head to the Mountain Ruins southeast of Sacred Arbor to find Glyndwr and ask about gwyfencha. Glyndwr will explain that it’s known as a Scalecinder in human terms.
Speak to Sara in Bakbattahl
Visit Brokk’s Smithy in Bakbattahl and speak with Sara, who will ask for nutriabh in return for Scalecinders. Finishing this task will immediately trigger the next quest, “Out of the Forest, Into the Forge.”
