How to Start Shadowed Prayers
After completing the Nation of the Lambent Flame main quest, this quest becomes available in Bakbattahl. Menella, the Beastren warrior from your first visit, now waits outside the Flamebearer Palace, east of the city. Look for the massive stone doorway with a blue glow, and Menella will start the conversation as you approach.
Rest at an Inn Until Morning
Rest until morning and return to the inner Flamebearer Palace, where Menella will initiate a conversation to progress the quest. Sleeping at an inn before catching the assassin creates a save, allowing you to reload if you choose the wrong person and fail the quest.
How to Capture the Assassin in Shadowed Prayers Quest
Menella describes the assassin as having tied-back hair and a wounded right arm. You’ll find him at the top right of the stairs. Grab him before the timer runs out, as Menella warns that Nadinia’s prayers are nearly over.
Note: While some attendees also have their hair tied back, none carry a massive sword like the real assassin.
