How to Start Readvent of Calamity
After completing several of Captain Brant’s quests in Vernworth, you can start the side quest “Oxcart Courier” to restore oxcart trips between Vernworth and Melve. Upon returning to Melve, you’ll find it under attack by a dragon. Target the bubbles on its body to deal enough damage and drive it away. Lennart will then ask you to return after a few days, adding the quest to your log.
Repel the Dragon in Readvent of Calamity
This quest only requires you to repel the dragon, not slay it. Attack cautiously, as the dragon will retreat after its health drops to half. Aim for the blisters to deal maximum damage, but stay alert for its powerful body slam and fire breath.
Unlock the Mystic Spearhand Vocation in Readvent of Calamity
After the dragon departs, Ulrika, Lennart, and the townspeople will thank you. Find Sigurd, a hooded man with a large spear, and ask about his name and fighting style. He will reveal the Mystic Spearhand, an Arisen-exclusive vocation that uses magick and the duospear.
Head back to Melve After a Day
Leave Melve and wait a day to progress the quest. Then, return to Melve and go to Ulrika’s house. Enter the room in the right corner to trigger a cutscene.Ulrika will offer you a night’s stay for your help. The next morning, leave the house to trigger another cutscene revealing Ulrika’s sudden escape.
Search Ulrika in Harve Village

Return to Melve and head to Ulrika’s old house. Inside, you’ll find Lennart waiting for news about the exiled maiden. Inform him of Ulrika’s whereabouts and well-being to complete the quest.
Tell him where she is, and this will conclude the quest. Lennart will reward you with 4,500 G and a Ring of Grit.
