Introduction
In the “Brothers Brave and Timid” side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you help a man in Melve find his brother. Though short, this quest may have future consequences, so it’s best to complete it early. Our guide provides all the details to start and finish the quest.
How to Start Brothers Brave and Timid
You can find this quest in Melve during your first visit, when Ian, a young man with auburn hair, approaches you. His brother Norbert has been missing too long while gathering herbs nearby. Although Ian is scared to search, he soon realizes he must lead you to his brother.
How to locate Norbert in Brothers Brave and Timid Quest
Ian asks you to follow him to search for his brother near Backwoods Nest Cave. Once you agree, he heads north out of town. Stay close as you cross the bridge and follow the trails northwest of Melve. At a campfire, Ian pauses to reminisce before continuing across another bridge. Keep following and protecting him from creatures until you pass through a narrow path between two stone cliffs.
Rescue Norbert from the Wolves
You’ll soon find Norbert under attack by wolves. Although both brothers have the Fighter vocation, the wolves can overpower them, so quickly kill the beasts to keep them alive. It’s best to hire an additional pawn, like a Mage or Archer, based on your and your main pawn’s vocations, before heading into the forest.
Escort the Brothers Back to Melve
After defeating the wolves, a short cutscene plays, and you must escort the brothers back to Melve. Follow the same path and protect them from any enemies that appear.
Once in Melve, Ian thanks you, and you’ll receive a Homespun Cloak and 1,500 G. A final cutscene will play, marking the end of the quest.
