Introduction
The final Main Quest in Captain Brant’s questline, “The Feast of Deception,” challenges you to use your acquired information and renown to attend the false Sovran’s coronation.
The Feast of Deception Walkthrough
Brant will warn you before you proceed with the final task in his questline. When you’re ready to complete the series, wear your Courtly Set (see our guide for finding Courtly Clothes) and inform Brant.
Obtain Courtly Attire
To acquire the Courtly Breeches and Tunic, search two separate rooms on the second floor of the sleeping quarters. These items make up the formal attire. Alternatively, complete The Ornate Box quest, and Sven will reward you with both pieces, regardless of your choice during the quest. Check your storage if you’ve already received them.

Speak to Captain Brant in the Feast of Deception
Equip the Courtly Breeches and Tunic to dress formally, then speak to Captain Brant, who will ask if you’re ready to depart. Ensure you’ve completed any unfinished tasks, as this is a point of no return.
A short cutscene will follow where you try to attend the coronation, but your Pawn senses a strange presence. The false Sovran possesses a godsway, a powerful relic that lets him control Pawns and mimic the Arisen’s powers.
Wait for Captain Brant to devise a plan
After returning to the Tavern with Brant, he asks you to wait while he formulates a plan. Sleep or pass time on the bench behind him, then speak to Brant again. He’ll reveal his plan: to send you to Battahl to consult with an oracle. He’ll give you a Border Entry Permit for access to the region, along with 5000 XP and a Portcrystal as your quest reward. This will immediately trigger the next main story quest, Nation of the Lambent Flame.
Portcrystals are ultra-rare items that create reusable fast travel points anywhere. Check our guide to find more Portcrystals.
