Captain Brant assigns you the main quest, “Disa’s Plot,” in Dragon’s Dogma 2. He instructs you to sneak into the palace and search the queen’s office for evidence of her misdeeds. Read our guide for a walkthrough on starting and completing the quest.

Go into Vernworth Castle and follow Sonia to the Guardhouse.

At night, go to Vernworth Castle near the Royal Quarter. Since it’s a restricted area, leave your Pawns outside. Sonia, the guard, will escort you to the Guardhouse. Loot the chest across the room for the Marcher’s Armor Set to disguise as a palace guard. Exit the Guardhouse through the left door to enter the palace, then go right and straight ahead.

Retrieve the Torn Letter from the Castle Offices

Cross the hall, go through the tunnel, and take the staircase directly to the top floor where Disa’s office is located. The office will be marked on your map. Head to the marked room, enter, and find the Torn Letter glowing on Disa’s desk. This triggers a cutscene where Disa’s son Sven catches you. Sven, who also wants to stop his mother and the false Arisen, offers to help. After a brief conversation, Sven distracts the guards so you can escape.

Leave the Castle and report back to Brant to Finish Disa’s Plot

Once you regain control, jump out the open window behind you to reach the palace courtyard. Run back to the Tavern and report your findings to Brant. Talk to Grant, select “Tell me of the queen regent,” and present the Torn Letter. Captain Grant will reward you, completing the quest.

You will be rewarded with 6500 gold, 1200 xp, and a Wakestone.
