If you’re craving a taste of unparalleled craftsmanship in Baldur’s Gate 3, the Masterwork Weapon quest is your key to unlocking the secrets of crafting extraordinary armaments. This comprehensive guide will lead you through every step of the process, ensuring that you possess all the necessary knowledge to embark on this thrilling adventure.
Starting the Quest
Begin your quest by venturing to the Blighted Village. Go to the building on the right side of the village’s entrance. Here you will discover a journal that holds the key to this mission. Read the journal to kickstart the Masterwork Weapon quest.
Descend into the Depths
Upon receiving the quest, make your way to another room within the building. Here, you’ll need to burn away webs blocking your path. Once the path is clear, take the plunge and jump into the hole.
Mind the Trap
As you explore the depths, exercise caution and keep an eye out for traps. It’s best to avoid them whenever possible to ensure your safety.
Chest of Surprises
While navigating the underground labyrinth, you’ll stumble upon a chest. Take the time to disarm the trap guard it and open the chest. Inside, you’ll find blueprint notes that contain valuable information for your quest. Make sure to read these notes carefully to proceed.
Seek Suic in the Underdark
The blueprint notes call for a rare material known as Suic. To obtain this crucial component, venture into the Underdark. Your destination is a specific location where you can find Suic bark on a tree.
The Fort’s Blacksmith
Now that you have all the necessary components, it’s time to craft your Masterwork weapon. Head to the fort and make your way to the blacksmith’s house.
Returning to Blighted Village
With your crafted components in tow, return to the Blighted Village. Prepare to embark on the next phase of your quest.
The Abyssal Forge
The final destination for your journey is the Abyssal Forge, located in the northeastern corner of the village.
Igniting the Forge
Once you have the bark, you can head back to the blacksmith’s forge to craft the weapon. Activate the furnace then add the Sussur Bark to the other slot, and combine them.
Crafting the Masterwork Weapon
To craft the Masterwork weapon, you’ll need one of three types of common weapons: a dagger, greatsword, or sickle. These weapons should be of standard quality, not green or blue. The sickle can be found in Druid Grove, but it’s recommended to acquire it after completing Kaga and Housing quests for a smoother experience.
Empowering Your Weapon
Use one of the three common weapons to infuse it with the power of silence on hit and grant it a +1 weapon enchantment bonus. Regardless of the weapon you choose, the bonus will remain the same.
